I have used Kitchenaid stand mixers for 30 years. In fact, I still own one that was bought by my mother in the 1960’s and it works fine!

These are the “Mercedes” of stand mixers and I endorse them without reservation!

From those I’ve seen, most connect to the kitchen tap with a special hose much the same way that portable dishwashers do. I think I’ve heard of models that have to be plumbed in but I think that’s the exception instead of the rule. Make sure to ask how they connect no matter what model you’re looking at.

As far as capacity, they will be less in most cases than a portable dishwasher. I just looked at a Danby model that listed 4 complete place settings as its capacity.

Like the countertop dishwasher idea, but I wonder how to connect it to the drain?
And will it suffice for a family of 2? Or is it mainly for singles?
